COVID-19 in Ohio: State reports more than 6,000 new cases during last week

It represents the smallest weekly increase in almost a year.

CLEVELAND — Starting the week of March 13, Ohio has moved away from reporting daily COVID data, which means cases, hospitalizations, vaccinations and more will only be released once per week each Thursday.

We will update this story each week as the new COVID data is reported.

Below you will find the most recent statewide COVID data. Each update is released every Thursday at 2 p.m.

    • 2.05% of beds are currently occupied by COVID patients
  • NUMBER OF OHIOANS FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19: 7,026,848
  • PERCENTAGE OF OHIOANS FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19: 60.11%

MAY 5, 2020:

  • 20,969 confirmed and probably cases with 1,135 deaths.
    • This marks an increase of 495 new cases from the day prior.

MAY 4, 2020:

  • 20,474 confirmed and probable cases with 1,056 deaths.
    • This marks an increase of 560 cases and 18 deaths from the day prior.

MAY 3, 2020

  • There are 19,914 confirmed and probable cases with 1.038 deaths. 
    • This marks an increase of 579 cases and 17 deaths from the day prior.

MAY 2, 2020

  • There are 19,335 confirmed and probable cases with 1,021 deaths.
    • This marks an increase of 592 cases and 19 deaths from the day prior.

MAY 1, 2020

  • There are 18,743 confirmed and probable cases with 1,002 deaths.
    • This marks an increase of 716 cases and 27 deaths from the day prior.

APRIL 30, 2020

  • There are now 18,027 confirmed and probable cases with 975 deaths.
    • This marks an increase of 724 cases and 38 cases from the day prior. 

APRIL 29, 2020

  • There are now 17,303 confirmed and probable cases with 937 deaths.
    • This marks an increase of 534 cases and 138 deaths from the day prior.
