TOLEDO, Ohio — The Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad received a pair of calls Thursday to help with undetonated explosive devices.
Shortly before noon Thursday, Seneca County Sheriff Fred Stevens called the bomb squad for help with an unexploded hand grenade.
The bomb squad went to Tiffin to retrieve the grenade, which authorities said appeared to be fully functional.
While they were on the way to Tiffin, the squad received another call about unexploded ordinance in Delta.
Authorities in Delta said a 35-pound military explosive device had been discovered at Blue Scope Recycling.
According to a report from Toledo police, the device found in Delta also appeared to be fully functional.
Both devices were collected and will be disposed of by the bomb squad, the police report said.
