Police investigating west Toledo stabbing Monday

Police said the victim's injury was non-life threatening.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a stabbing in west Toledo that injured one person Monday afternoon. 

According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to a hospital regarding a walk-in stabbing injury. Police made contact with the victim, who told police he had been visiting a home in the 4000 block of Peak Avenue around 12:30 p.m.

The victim then told police he had been summoned to the front door; upon exiting onto the front porch, the victim was stabbed once in the abdomen by one of two unknown teenagers involved.

Police described the victim's injuries as non-life threatening.
