TOLEDO, Ohio — The unofficial start to summer has some looking for a new place to cool down.
A spot you might want to check out is a new splash pad at the Glass City Metropark. People who visit this new addition will get to splash, slide and navigate their way through miniaturized waterways.
Friday was the opening day for the Mini-Maumee Discovery Play.
The Mini-Maumee splash pad area gives families a chance to wade into the water. There's also the Glass City Falls waterfall located at the base of the Mini-Maumee.
Other features include a drinking fountain and water bottle filling station that's located next to Market Hall which is located on the Glass City Riverwalk trail.
The Mini-Maumee will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 2.
