Statewide technical issue impacted school testing Wednesday, Ohio Department of Education and Workforce says

The issue has been resolved, but many school districts will have to reschedule testing.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Schools across Ohio were impacted by a technical issue with the state testing site Wednesday morning, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce confirmed.

According to the ODE, the Test Administration interface was unavailable for a short period. The testing vendor, Cambium Assessment, resolved the issue quickly, ODE said. The department said they would work with schools and districts impacted by the incident.

The department did not specify the cause of the technical issue.

Due to the incident, many schools have had to alter their testing schedules. According to the department's website, the spring 2024 test administration window in Ohio for English language arts spans 15 consecutive school days, including makeups, from March 25 to April 26. The spring math/science/social studies testing period began April 1 and lasts until May 10 for 15 consecutive school days.

Check with your school district to learn if your student's testing schedule has been impacted by the issue.
