Suspects accused of stealing from north Toledo carryout, attacking employee

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a robbery in north Toledo reported Tuesday night. 

According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to the 800 block of Walnut Street regarding a robbery at the Walnut Carryout after 9:30 p.m. Police spoke with an employee, who told officers he confronted an unknown suspect allegedly stealing items from the store.

The suspect and an accomplice then allegedly attacked the employee, and fled on foot. 

The employee suffered what police described in the report as minor injuries, and denied medical treatment. 

Police continue to investigate.
