Police: Suspect armed with knife robs south Toledo dollar store

The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a south Toledo dollar store Tuesday morning. 

According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to Dollar General in 4200 block of Airport Highway just after 9:30 a.m. regarding a robbery. Police were told a suspect, armed with a knife, had threatened employees. 

The suspect then allegedly used a tote from the store to steal merchandise, and fled the area prior to police's arrival.

There were no injuries mentioned in the report.
