BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — A Wood County judge sentenced a Dunbridge man to prison Tuesday for several charges in the death of 60-year-old Michael Szabo, a bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle in July.

James Lindsay was sentenced to 12 to 17.5 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges in mid-October: aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and attempted failure to stop after an accident. Lindsay's license was also suspended for life.

Lindsay was arrested on July 1 after he drove off the road and onto the sidewalk near the intersection of South Main and Pearl streets in Bowling Green. Lindsay's vehicle struck Szabo, a Bowling Green resident, as he was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk, according to BG police.

Szabo died at the scene.
