MAUMEE, Ohio — A Defiance man found guilty in March of six child pornography-related charges cut off his ankle monitor and did not appear for his sentencing in April, according to Maumee police.
Dominick Pickles, 24, changed a previous not-guilty plea to guilty of one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and five counts of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material, according to court records. His sentencing was set for April 24 at 9 a.m.
Maumee police arrested Pickles in the fall of 2023 for various sex offenses involving a minor and caught him in a vehicle with a minor female he had traveled from Defiance to Maumee to meet.
He was indicted on various charges in October 2023.
"To keep him from re-offending, we are asking the public for any assistance in locating him. If you see him, contact your local police, or reach out to the Maumee Police Department with any tips to: detective@maumee.org," Maumee police say.
