BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — It's an announcement that many in the area have been waiting for... and a bite of good news.

On Wednesday, the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and Belleville Brothers announced the Annual Pork-a-Lean Fundraiser for the BG Community Fireworks will happen, as planned, on Wednesday, June 17. The fundraiser will take place at the downtown BG Farmers' Market at S. Main and Clough.

For the uninitiated, Pork-a-Lean sandwiches consist of ground up 100% whole hog patties and a staple at the Wood County Fair.

Tents will be set up in the market for traditional service or sandwich fans can utilize curbside pickup this year. Anyone interested in curbside pickup is asked to use the Belleville Brothers' parking lot behind the Meat Market to place and pick up orders. Signs and volunteers will be on hand to guide cars to the proper location to snag those sandwiches.

Extra precautions are being taken for the safety of volunteers and the public as well. It is requested that masks be worn while in the market waiting in lines.

Pork-a-Lean sandwiches will be served from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
