TOLEDO, Ohio — A very warm and humid start to Sunday will lead to another warm day this time with higher rain chances. Clouds will increase by lunch time with afternoon showers, thunderstorms likely. A few storms could be strong with gusty winds, hail and frequent lightning.
Winds will also increase and become very gusty into the afternoon. Winds out of the south to southwest of 20-30 mph will gust to 45 mph at times. The greatest threat of storms will be 2 to 8 PM
Where heavier storms persist, the threat of 1" or more of rainfall will be possible. A break in the rain during the evening may fill back in briefly with early overnight showers.
A return toward cooler conditions will be expected early this week with highs back into the 60s on Monday and Tuesday. Scattered rain chances return mid-week with a few thunderstorms possible.
Highs will likely return into the 80s late in the week, into next weekend.
