Installation of steel arch to close part of Conant Street for three hours Friday

City administrators said the closure will ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians and motorists.

MAUMEE, Ohio — Crews will close a portion of Conant Street in Maumee for three hours Friday in order to facilitate the construction of a steel arch spanning the roadway. 

According to a social media post from the city of Maumee, Conant Street will be closed closest to the Maumee/Perrysburg Bridge to Wayne Street. The closure will last from 9 a.m. to noon.

City officials said the closure will ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians and motorists. In the post, the city thanked motorists for their patience.
