Toledo QB Dequan Finn enters transfer portal

Finn will be looking for a new team next season as he entered his name into the growing list of college football transfers.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo football will feature a new quarterback for their upcoming bowl game and next season after Dequan Finn entered his name into the transfer portal.

Finn helped lead the Rockets to back-to-back MAC championship game appearances and was named as the 2023 league MVP. 

The Detroit native threw for 2657 yards and 22 touchdowns during the 2023 season. He also rushed for 563 yards and seven touchdowns. 

On3 Sports has Finn ranked as a three-star transfer and as the No. 13 quarterback recruit.

The quarterback made the announcement on his social media Tuesday. Finn will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Toledo is set to play Wyoming in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m.
