MARTIN, OH (WTOL) - Ottawa County Prosecutors announced Monday that a man accused of killing three of his family members Sunday in Martin, Ohio has been charged with one count of murder.

William Liske Jr., 24, is headed back to Port Clinton after he was released to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office after a hearing Monday afternoon. He was arrested Sunday afternoon in Carroll County near the family's cottage.

Liske's father, 53-year-old William Liske Sr., stepmother, 46-year-old Sue Liske and stepbrother, 23-year-old Derek Griffin, were found dead in their Ottawa County home along Route 2 Sunday afternoon.

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results on the cause of death of the three victims, but they have come to some preliminary conclusions.

"There's trauma to all three in the head areas and we're not sure what caused the trauma," said Ottawa County Sheriff's Department Deputy George Byington.

He says they do believe gunfire was involved, but that investigators have not ruled anything out at this point.

The bodies were discovered by 16-year-old Devin Griffin, Sue Liske's son. He contacted his aunt, Lori Morse.

Morse called 911 and named Liske Jr. as a suspect in her call.

"They've had a lot of trouble with him with the law. And he's threatened Suzie before, but there's been all kinds of trouble," Morse said.

Authorities confirmed deputies had been dispatched to the house numerous times in the last year and a half because of Liske Jr.'s unruly behavior.

Investigators are trying to determine if those past troubles lead to the three people's deaths.
