Northwest Ohio school levies on the March ballot

Here's a look at school districts in the Toledo area who will ask voters to approve levies in the primary.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Voters across northwest Ohio will find school levies on their March 19 ballot.

Here's a look at the school districts seeking approval for tax levies in the Ohio primary election. 

Anthony Wayne Local Schools: A new, five-year, 2.42 mill property tax levy for operations. The levy will cost property owners $85 for every $100,000 in valuation. The levy will generate $3,302,000 in revenue a year and collection would begin in 2025 if it is approved. 

Arcadia schools: Renewal of a 2.5-mill property tax levy. The levy costs property owners $88 for every $100,000 in valuation. 

Arcadia Schools: Renewal of a 1% income tax.

Clyde-Green Springs Schools: Renewal of a 4.8-mill property tax levy for operations. The levy generates $1,265,000 a year in revenue and costs property owners $170 for each $100,000 in valuation. This is a 10-year renewal to begin with collection in 2026.

Millcreek-West Unity Schools: A new, 2.77-mill property tax levy that will substitute for an exiting levy. The levy will generate $225,000 a year in revenue and cost property owners $97 for every $100,000 in valuation. The five-year levy will be collected first in 2025. 

Napoleon Area Schools: A new, 3.9-mill levy for operating expenses. The levy will generate $1,959,000 a year in revenue and cost property owners $137 for every $100,000 in valuation. It would be collected beginning in 2025.

North central Schools: An income tax of 0.75% for operating expenses. The tax would be collected for three years, beginning in 2025

Otsego Local Schools: Shall an annual income tax of 0.50% on the school district income of individuals and of estates be imposed by the Otsego Local School District, for 5 years, beginning January 1, 2025, for the purpose of current expenses? 

Ottawa Hills Schools: A new, 12.9 mill property tax levy.  The levy would cost property owners $452 for every $100,00 in assessed value and generate $2,343,000 a year in revenue. Collection would begin in 2025.

Perrysburg Schools: A new, 3.5-mill property tax to pay for school construction, renovations and expansion of existing facilities. The levy will pay for a proposed $68,645,000 bond issue, as well as construction, renovations and financing of permanent improvements. The levy will cost property owners $123 for every $100,000 in valuation. 

Pike-Delta-York Schools: A 5.31-mill property that will substitute for an existing tax levy. The five-year levy would first be collected in 2025.

Riverdale Local School District: A new, 2-mill property tax levy. The levy would generate $380,000 a year in revenue and cost property owners $70 for every $100,000 in valuation. The tax would first be collected in 2025.
