Pizza delivery drivers robbed

In the last week, nearly a dozen pizza delivery drivers have been robbed at knife point.

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – In the last week, nearly a dozen pizza delivery drivers have been robbed at knife point.

The incidents, which have taken place in southwest Toledo and Holland, are thought by police to be connected.

Police are looking for two men who are believed to be calling in fake pizza orders, and robbing the delivery person at knife point once they arrive at the address.

Nicole Sprouse, a delivery driver for Vito's pizza, says she was not going to be a victim of the two men when they held her up last night.

"You always got it in the back of your mind you have to keep your guard up and be aware of your surroundings." said Sprouse.

Sprouse was on her cell phone when she pulled up to an apartment to deliver pizza last night. She was walking up to the door, when two men came from behind, pulled out a kitchen knife, and demanded cash.

"I was in shock; I thought I was being punked. I didn't think it was for real. I was in shock."

Sprouse fought back, and the suspects took off.

In other cases, the men did get money from their victims.

They have robbed ten delivery people in the past week, from Marco's, Jet's, Vito's and other places.

In every case, they are wearing bandanas and wielding a knife.

Police say the best thing to do is to give the robbers whatever it is they want.
