TOLEDO, Ohio — The United Way of Greater Toledo is searching for volunteers for their "Lunch Hour Hero" initiative.

The "Lunch Hour Hero" initiative will serve meals to children in need.

Anyone interested will be asked to serve on specified days from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on either a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.

The initiative only takes a few hours of your time and you can pick which days you want to help.

"Not a big commitment even though 'hero' sounds like a huge word it's a really easy space to step into that cape. It takes really no time at all and it really is making a difference," said Jennifer Archer with United Way of Toledo.
