TOLEDO, Ohio — Uncle John's Pancake House has announced the opening date for its new location two miles down Secor Road from the iconic building it occupied for decades.

The breakfast restaurant will open Tuesday at 1440 Secor Road, Suite R., in west Toledo's Gateway Plaza.

"Please bear with us the first few days as we get our employees up to speed on the new location, equipment, and back to serving and cooking speed after what was WAY TOO LONG of a hiatus! It may take a few days to get back up to speed, but we would love to see you along the way!" Uncle John's said in a social media post Friday.

The iconic Toledo restaurant operated for 60 years out of 3131 Secor Road before flipping its final pancakes on March 26, 2023.

About 11 months ago, Uncle John's owner Sal Tubeileh announced his decision to sell the Westgate property to neighboring business WhiteWater Express Car Wash.

Tubeileh, who has owned Uncle John's for 11 years, told WTOL 11 at the time that he had been considering the selling the original property for over a year.
