2-vehicle crash causes power outage in west Toledo early Wednesday

Power is expected to be restored for residents aroun 8:30 a.m.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Edison is working to restore power for some residents in a west Toledo neighborhood after a crash between two vehicles caused a utility pole to snap in half.

The crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Upton Avenue and Ottawa Drive. 

According to the Toledo Edison power outage map, roughly 48 customers are currently affected near or around Macomber Street off of Upton Avenue due to live wires being knocked down.
