Toledo Zoo holding prescribed burns at multiple locations Sunday

The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department says the zoo will be conducting the planned burns through approximately 8 p.m.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Zoo is conducting prescribed burns on Sunday afternoon and evening.

The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department is asking people not to be alarmed by smoke or fire around the zoo between the hours of 3 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m.

TFRD says Toledo Zoo personnel will be conducting the burns.

Times and locations include:

• Solar Array -

     Spencer Street and Ingomar Avenue between 3 – 4:30p.m.

• Administration Building -

     2605 Broadway Street between 5 – 6:30p.m.

• Spencer Street -

     1667, 1717, 1767 Spencer Street between 7 – 8 p.m.

• Tunnel Entrance -

     2 Hippo Way - Around 8 p.m.
