Te'kela in Sylvania temporarily closes after employee tests positive for COVID-19

The employee last worked at the restaurant on June 29.

SYLVANIA, Ohio — The Te'kela Mexican Cocina y Cantina restaurant in Sylvania is temporarily closing after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The closure includes dine-in and carry-out services.

The restaurant said the employee last worked on Monday, June 29. 

During its closure, the restaurant will get a deep cleaning following guidance from the Lucas County Health Department and will also initiate staff testing. Contact tracing procedures are in place to help determine how and when the restaurant will reopen. 

The restaurant's Perrysburg location will remain open for carry-out, patio dining and limited dine-in seating.

The restaurant will continue to inform the community as details develop.

A manager will be on site for any phone call inquiries between noon and 4pm today, July 6th
