A sonic boom normally occurs around 30,000 feet, but the region may still hear the boom as the flight craft break the sound barrier, the 180th said.

The 180th said in the press release they conduct functional flight checks on air craft following heavy maintenance, testing it in order to ensure all systems function properly.
