City of Maumee accepting applications for Rolf Park Pool lifeguards

The pool is also implementing a new guest policy for the 2024 season.

MAUMEE, Ohio — The city of Maumee is seeking lifeguards for the 2024 Rolf Park Pool season, and announced a change to its guest policy for the upcoming summer. 

According to a press release from the city, several positions are open at the pool, with pay starting at $12 per hour. Prospective lifeguards must have a current lifeguard certificate included in their application.

The city is also implementing a new guest rule. Eligible patrons, who either live in Maumee city limits or the Maumee City School district, can bring guests to the pool. Guests will be required to pay, and only 50 total guests per day will be allowed admission to the pool. 

Eligibility to visit the pool must be verified by bringing a valid ID, utility bill or grade card. 

Admission is $5 for Maumee residents under 48 inches tall, and $10 for Maumee residents over 48 inches tall. Admission is $15 for residents of any height who reside within the school district but are outside Maumee city limits. 

The pool is open f rom 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to enter. Pool ID cards will not be used this year, the city said.
