TOLEDO, Ohio — On Sunday morning Toledo Police Department responded to a call around 6:15 a.m. of a shooting on North Westwood Avenue.
Police say the victim, 23-year-old Shawteara Gaiter, was taken to the hospital with a non-fatal gunshot wound. According to a police report, Gaiter told police 25-year-old Paul Williams shot her and fled on foot.
Police found Williams hiding in a trash can and arrested him. His bond was set at $250,000.
The incident remains under investigation.
