OTTAWA COUNTY, Ohio — The Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad was called out to Ottawa County after magnet fishermen found mortars in a river.

The bomb squad responded to the area of North Benton-Carroll Road and West Duff-Washa Road after the Carroll Township Police Department reported the fishermen had found two mortars in a nearby river.

While the bomb squad was en route to the location, the fishermen said after moving to another nearby location, they found a third mortar. A fourth was later found prior to the bomb squad leaving the location.

All four mortars were secured by the bomb squad for later disposal.
