Boil advisory in effect for entire Village of Onsted

The boil advisory is in effect until further notice due to low pressure, according to Lenawee County Emergency Management.

ONSTED, Mich. — A boil advisory is in effect for the entire Village of Onsted, Lenawee County Emergency Management announced on Tuesday.

The advisory will be in place until further notice due to low pressure. According to Village of Onsted President Sam Lafata, the low pressure was caused by construction activities at the south plant water processing building on Tuesday.

The boil advisory, issued as a "precautionary measure," is expected to last for a day or two, Lafata said.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of our water supply," Lafata said in a post on Facebook.

The village is not unfamiliar with boil advisories as one was issued in late December also due to low pressure.
