Two people injured in crash involving 2 vehicles in west Toledo

A driver ran a red light and struck another vehicle, according to first responders at the scene. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people are hospitalized with minor injuries following a crash Tuesday night in west Toledo.

The crash happened at the intersection of Hill Avenue and S. Byrne Road shortly after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, according to first responders at the scene.

The driver of one vehicle ran a red light, first responders said. One person in each vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

One lane of Byrne Road was closed in the area while crews investigated and worked to clear the crash.
