TOLEDO, Ohio — U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Toledo) tested positive for COVID-19, her office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The statement says that Kaptur "recently began feeling cold like symptoms." A more specific timeframe is not specified in the announcement.
After taking a test, the result was confirmed by a second test administered by the U.S. House of Representatives' Health Unit, the statement says.
Kaptur will quarantine and wear a mask in accordance with CDC guidelines, the statement says.
