TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – The family of William Liske Sr. was attempting to cope with his death and his wife and stepson's deaths, when they received more bad news Monday morning.

Liske's sister, Sue Dunmyer, was also killed in a garage fire.

"Her garage caught on fire and she was in there," said Lisa Curll. "So my mom lost her son and her daughter. And a daughter-in-law and a grandchild all in a day."

Shirley Young, the victim's mother, says to lose two children is an unreal experience. "It shouldn't happen. I should go before them," she said.

Tammy Arthur remembers William Sr. as a good guy who loved his son.

William Liske Jr., called BJ, is accused of killing his father, his wife Susan and her son Derrick.

The family says BJ struggled with mental illness and was on and off of his medicine. However, they say his father was his best friend.

"BJ has gotten in trouble before, but I never thought he would kill somebody," said Curll.

Arthur agreed that BJ had issues, but she still cannot believe he is accused of killing his father, stepmom and stepbrother.

"I don't know if I can forgive him. She probably can't do it and my brother would want us to, but that's a hard thing to do," Arthur said.
