14-year-old killed, two other teens injured in shooting Monday afternoon; suspect unknown, police say

The three victims, described by police as juveniles, were shot near Mulberry Street and Bronson Avenue. Terrance Green, 14, died from his injuries, TPD said.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A north Toledo shooting is under investigation as a homicide after one of three juvenile victims died from his injuries Monday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call of a person shot at the corner of Mulberry Street and Bronson Avenue just after 1:15 p.m. Monday, according to Toledo police. Two of the victims were found shot at the corner and a third was found nearby.

All three victims are teens, according to police, and were shot at least once by an unknown suspect.

Terrance Green, 14, was shot multiple times and died from his injuries, according to an autopsy report.

Another victim remains in critical condition and the third victim was grazed in the shooting, police said. A fourth victim was not struck.

The surviving victims have not been identified.

Terrance was a student at Woodward High School, according to Toledo Public Schools spokesperson Patty Mazur. Counselors will be at the school Tuesday to support those coping with Terrance's death, she said.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those impacted," Mazur said.

Woodward High School was placed on a brief lockdown Monday that was quickly lifted as the shooting was not determined to be a threat, according to Toledo police.

It is unclear what may have led to the incident. The shooting is under investigation.
