Police investigating man struck by car incident in west Toledo

Police say when officers arrived on the scene they were informed a man had been shot but then determined the man had been struck by a car when they found him.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Police are investigating an incident in which a man was struck by a car early Sunday morning. 

Officers were dispatched to a 7-Eleven in west Toledo on Upton at Berdan avenues around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

When officers arrived they say they found an unconscious man on the side of the road who was injured, apparently from being struck by a car. 

Toledo Fire and Rescue Department personnel transported the man in serious condition to Toledo Hospital.

Police say a traffic accident reconstructionist was called to investigate the scene. A vehicle that was possibly involved in the incident was found and processed. 

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Keshawn Fell. 

Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
