Person shot in south Toledo, police say

The victim was taken to the hospital and their condition is unknown at this time, according to Toledo police.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A person was shot in south Toledo and hospitalized Tuesday morning, police told WTOL 11.

Toledo police responded to the scene on Durango Drive near the intersection with Airport Highway at about 10:45 a.m.

In a police report, authorities said a 27-year-old was seen laying in the street, suffering from several gunshot wounds. Police said an unknown suspect had fired several shots from a vehicle and then fled the scene. 

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
