COLUMBUS, OH (Toledo News Now) - CBS News projects Ohio Governor John Kasich will win reelection.
Kasich faced Cincinnati-area Democrat Ed Fitzgerald in the race for governor, but Fitzgerald's campaign derailed after revelations he had spent years of his adult life without a valid Ohio driver's license.
National spending on Fitzgerald's behalf dried up long before Election Day.
The race is expected to be so one-sided CBS called the election for Kasich the minute polls closed in Ohio.
KASICH ELECTION VICTORY STATEMENT
