TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - It was open since the Spring of 2011 at the former Navy Bistro location at the Docks. On Sunday, the doors were closed at Admirals American Grill.
On Tuesday some people tried to stop by for lunch only to find out it wasn't open.
"We tried, we pulled on the door, it's locked," said Rod Cooper.
"It said they were open except for Monday, it's not Monday," said Lori Cooper.
"We tried to go in and it was closed," said Nicole Saltmarsh.
An attorney for the restaurant owners says there are no plans to reopen and they are working towards a resolution with groups with events booked at the Courtyard at the Docks event center.
The owners have had an on-going dispute with Dashing Pacific, the owner of the Docks complex, over the issue of utilities. Those visiting the Docks are hoping another restaurant operation moves in sooner rather than later.
"All the restaurants are great, hopefully something will reopen something comparable or better will open up," said Saltmarash.
"I like all of the restaurants here. I like coming to the Docks," said Rod.
"Good location, like being on the river, it's nice," said Lori.
A partner of El Vaquero restaurant which subleases space from Admirals says they are not affected and they plan on staying open for business.
