Guess how much it costs to buy all the gifts from 'The 12 Days of Christmas' song

Don't forget to tack on an extra $2,000 for shipping if you're buying everything online. We doubt even Amazon Prime would offer free shipping in this case.

We're hoping you aren't actually planning on buying someone 23 birds for Christmas - but if you are, it's going to set you back a pretty penny.

PNC Bank says that this year, the total cost for all the gifts in the song "The 12 Days of Christmas" is $38,993.59.

In case you forgot, here's everything you would be buying:

  • 1 partridge in a pear tree - $210.17
  • 2 turtle doves - $300
  • 3 French hens - $181.50
  • 4 calling birds - $599.96
  • 5 golden rings - $825
  • 6 geese a-laying - $420
  • 7 swans a-swimming - $13,125
  • 8 maids a-milking - $58
  • 9 ladies dancing - $7,552.84
  • 10 lords a-leaping - $10,000
  • 11 pipers piping - $2,748.87
  • 12 drummers drumming - $2,972.25

And just so you know, the total doesn't include shipping if you're buying everything online - you'd have to tack on an extra $2,000 to cover the cost.

We doubt even Amazon Prime would offer free shipping on every single one of these items.

Oh and by the way, since the geese are a-laying, you'll have way more than six geese by the time this is all said and done.
