Don't Waste Your Money: How smartphone bills can help you find a cheating spouse

New technologies are now providing financial warning signs that your spouse may be having an affair.

(Toledo News Now) - New technologies are now providing financial warning signs that your spouse may be having an affair.

A new report on MoneyTree.com says you don't need to hire a private investigator if you suspect cheating, just follow the money trail.

Some of the warning signs include:

-an increase on the cell phone bill

-a sudden need for an extra cell phone

-disappearing mail

-more money spent on gas

-and more frequent ATM visits

According to Money Tree, the biggest financial warning sign that your spouse is cheating happens when they start working more hours at work without more pay. Money Tree says "Honey, I have to work late" is the most common excuse used by cheaters.

If a spouse does start working late, ask to see it on their pay stub. Even if you don't expect cheating, it is a good idea to be aware of their finances. That way you can also make sure they are not secretly spending the retirement funds or making bad investment deals, so you don't waste your money.
