MAUMEE (WTOL) - Maumee firefighters worked to put out an apartment fire early Monday morning.
The fire happened at eight occupied apartments above downtown businesses on Wayne Street near Conan Street.
The people living at one of the apartments said they woke up to police banging on the door to alert them of the fire.
They also say everyone got out safely and the fire was put out in minutes.
Everyone is evacuated from the apartments until the all-clear is given.
The fire was kept to one apartment. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
