Thursday, December 6

· PNC Gift of Joy: Downtown Gift Drop | 6a-7p | WTOL 11 730 North Summit Street

o Every child deserves to wake up to the magic of Christmas morning, no matter where they call home.

o Drop off a new, unwrapped gift at the WTOL 11 studios during our Downtown Gift Drop!

o The WTOL 11 Team will be out there from 6a-7pm collecting gifts for Lucas County Children Services! One gift means the world to those who have so little.

Friday, December 7

· Children’s Wonderland Opens | Tam-O-Shanter | Dec. 7 - 24

o For decades, families from all over the Northwest Ohio have been coming to find the holiday spirit at Children’s Wonderland.

o As always, dozens of classic exhibits will be on display, train rides will be available, and there will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures with Santa

o For Tickets: $8 for adults $6 for kids

· Holiday Tree Climb | Wildwood Preserve Metropark | Friday & Saturday

o Join Metroparks naturalists at this festive tree climbing opportunity! This special holiday climb will be a lighted spectacular!

o Participants will be using harnesses and climbing ropes to get to the tree tops. $25, Reservations, Code 405516101

Saturday, December 8

· Miracle on Main Street Holiday Weekend | Friday & Saturday

o Weekend of Holiday Cheer in Downtown Sylvania on Dec 7 + 8!

o Shop local and handmade for the holidays during the First Friday Art Walk with an expanded holiday market and silent auction in addition to local businesses and artists.

§ Venture to participating venues all weekend for the Elfin’ Brew Hop– a percentage of sales will be donated back to the the district. Finally, the weekend will end with a festive parade on Saturday evening at 5:30pm.

· Jingle Bell Run Toledo | The Shops at Fallen Timbers | 8 - 11 a.m.

o Be part of the largest holiday-themed 5K race series anywhere - and join the movement to conquer arthritis!

o The Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get out, get moving and raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

· Toledo Ballet’s Nutcracker | Stranahan Theater & Great Hall | Saturday & Sunday

o Toledo Ballet's Nutcracker comes to life with exquisite dancing, breathtaking scenery, and Tchaikovsky's beloved score performed live by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

o Join us again or start a new holiday tradition with your loved ones. From the first sounds of the symphony tuning up to the dancers' grand finale, Toledo Ballet’s Nutcracker is an experience you won’t soon forget!

Sunday, December 9
City of Toledo Tree Lighting | Ottawa Park | 3 -7 p.m.

You do not want to miss this year’s tree lighting event. Enjoy buttery popcorn, s’mores, bonfires, open skating, cookies, a live magician and ice carving, horse carriage rides, choirs, hot cocoa, face painting, arts & crafts, Toledo Walleye mascot: Spike, Mayor, Santa, and so much more. It’s also free to attend Ottawa Park’s ice rink, located at 2015 Parkside Drive. The tree lighting is set for 6-6:30 p.m. This is a WTOL #11Together partner!

· Holidays at the Manor House | Wildwood Preserve Metropark | December 1 - 16

o A Toledo tradition for more than 40 years

o Admission is free!

o Several new features have been added this year, including free ice skating and two free holiday movies.

o Each year, up to 30,000 people come to see how volunteers have re-imagined the holiday decorations, with more than 30 displays throughout the three-story, 34,000-square-foot mansion.

o The house will be open for self-guided tours daily, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The only exception is Wednesday, December 5, when it will close at 3 p.m.

· “Christmas on the Silver Screen” | University of Findlay Holiday band Concert |

o Free, public performance planned for Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.

· It’s A Wonderful Life Classic Movie Night | Maumee Indoor Theater

o Presenting "It's A Wonderful Life" on Sunday December 9th.

§ Showtimes will be at 5:00PM and 8:00PM.

§ Tickets will be $5 each for all ages.
