LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A person was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday, according to a press release from the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office.
According to the release, a motorcyclist was traveling on West Weston Road near Clement Highway in Seneca Township shortly before noon. Authorities described the motorcyclist as a 37-year-old man from Sand Creek. The sheriff's office said the motorcyclist lost control and crossed the center line. The man was separated from the motorcycle, and was struck by a Jeep Renegade traveling eastbound on West Weston Road.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the press release. He died at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash. Authorities said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate. No other injuries were listed in the press release.
