One man dead after driving into two parked cars at high speeds in central Toledo

The accident occured on West Bancroft between Ashland Avenue and Collingwood Boulevard, as the driver reached 90 mph before striking the two parked cars.

TOLEDO, Ohio — One man is dead after a three-car crash early Wednesday in central Toledo.

The crash shut down west Bancroft Street between Ashland Avenue and Collingwood Boulevard.

Please make sure to avoid this area.

The man who died was driving eastbound on Bancroft Street going around 90 mph and hit two parked cars according to Toledo Police.

The man who died was driving 90 mph when he hit the other two cars which were parked on the street.

Those cars were forced off the road and onto a nearby lawn.

There were no other people who were injured or involved in the crash.

Residents who live near the crash explain they heard a loud boom and were startled. They came out of their homes and saw fire and debris.
