TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Representatives for Hollywood Casino said it has something for the foodie, the gamer, and it does not stop there.
The casino did not leave anybody out when they were working out the details for a well-rounded experience. For music lovers, the casino will be rocking with live music everyday.
"We want when the people in the city of Toledo think, 'I'm going to go out tonight,' that their first choice is us for entertainment," said Chrystal Herndon, vice president of human resources for Hollywood Casino.
From this day forward, the H Lounge at Hollywood Casino will be hopping with a mix of Top 40, oldies and pop music, performed mostly by local artists.
"What we found is the talent here is absolutely amazing. Whether it's the team members that we hired 90 percent locally, or even just the acts that are coming in here. We're able to find that all locally. And you can hear this band is rockin' behind me!" said Herndon.
People listening for the first time said the experience is music to their ears.
"Where I grew up, they would have national artists come in and things like that. But to see that the local talent is getting an opportunity here, they're just as good as anything that I saw in New Jersey. I think it's wonderful," said Tashia McMullin, a casino visitor.
Herndon said what guests hear in the H Lounge is only the beginning.
"We're kind of kicking around the idea of possibly using our outdoor space to maybe do concerts. We haven't committed to anything, but what we know is that we have the space for it and this market has the interest for it," explained Herndon.
