Maumee (WTOL) - Many of you are looking at different options to save a few dollars these days.

For some families, there's not even enough money coming in to pay the day-to-day bills.

We talked with a Maumee woman who is taking her struggles into her own hands and trying to help others that are Feeling the Pinch.

Candy Huner spends her days cleaning homes and her south Toledo church.

While many deal with job loss, Huner kick-started a web site in her spare time so struggling families can cut costs. "I just think there's different things that people can do to save money, and they don't even know about it."

The site is called Deal With it Simply. It contains online coupons, tips for cutting back on your bills and inexpensive recipes. Huner says, "Frugal used to mean cheap, and now it means hanging onto more of your money."

Her site became even more personal after her husband's company went under. "We thought that it was really something. It was really going to work, and we had fifteen employees to let them go. You feel like a failure."

With only one income now, Huner says the toughest part has been telling her four kids 'no.' She hopes Deal With it Simply becomes more than just a slogan, but also an outreach to others. "Just being together, help each other out. I think we can get through this if we all just work together."

Many would agree. There's nothing simple about losing your job.
