TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Drivers may want to reroute their commute for their Monday morning drive. That's if you take the Veterans' Glass City Skyway.

There's an issue with the connector cables, so some lanes will be closed while the problem gets worked on. Get ready, the orange barrels are moving in on the I-280 bridge.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says in a $375,000 project, maintenance crews will come in with a big crane to weld the cables closed. .

Those crews will take up three lanes. At least 30 days, the left and center lane will be closed on the northbound side. The left lane on the southbound side will be closed, too.

This isn't the first time meddlesome cable problems have entangled the bridge. Some drivers remember dodging falling icicles after freezing weather...

"I was afraid to cross the bridge to be honest, because the ice was falling," says commuter Robert Harris.

ODOT says with new development, also comes new glitches. They say these too shall be fixed.

"It's going to be a little more time consuming, but what can you do?" asks Mary Lawson, who travels on the Skyway.

Lawson, from east Toledo says, you can find your way around it.

"There's the high level. There's Maumee, going to Rossford."
