Overnight fire destroys Central Toledo business

Fire crews tell us the building was set on fire late Wednesday night and around 2:30 a.m., started burning again.

CENTRAL TOLEDO -- Fire crews have been working to save a business in the area of Coventry and Dorr.

Fire crews tell us the building was set on fire late Wednesday night and around 2:30 a.m. started burning again.

Police spotted flames burning through the roof. Fire crews fought the blaze from the outside only because the building started to collapse, they said.

We are told the home remodeling company, Harris Builders, operates out of the building. We spoke with one of the employees who rushed over when he heard about the fire.

"A whole lot of chaos. It's a good business just getting messed up because some people like to be stupid," carpenter Anthony Lamb said.

The business is a complete loss, we're told, and fire officials are looking for clues on who or what started the blaze.
