TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - A fire broke out in a 7th floor apartment of the Northgate Apartments on Stickney Ave. in north Toledo on Saturday afternoon.
According to TFD Battalion Chief Mike Benadum, the flames were confined to a single apartment.
Smoke, however, damaged apartments on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th floors.
One resident was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The fire was a two-alarm fire because of the size of the building.
Firefighters are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting people displaced by the fire.
