Purple ribbon campaign launched to help find Chelsea Bruck

It has been almost three weeks since a Monroe, Michigan woman went missing following a Halloween party. Now, Chelsea Bruck's hometown is hoping the "the power of purple" will help bring her back to her loved ones safe and sound.

MONROE, MI (Toledo News Now) - It has been almost three weeks since a Monroe, Michigan woman went missing following a Halloween party. Now, Chelsea Bruck's hometown is hoping the "the power of purple" will help bring her back to her loved ones safe and sound.

A purple ribbon campaign has been started in honor of the 22-year-old.

Monroe County residents are being asked to sport purple ribbons and display purple bows on their homes.

Purple is Chelsea's favorite color.

Ribbons will be handed out free of charge at the North Monroe Floral Boutique--and so far more than one thousand have been given away.

"I have girls her age, And it's just...  It can be anybody's child, anybody's sister, anybody's daughter,” said Cathy Dobberstein, Manager at North Monroe Floral Boutique. “That's why everybody has to get out and do what they can to help."

North Monroe Floral Boutique is located at 602 N Monroe Street in Monroe, Michigan.

This Saturday, Loranger Square in downtown Monroe will also be decorated in purple in honor of Chelsea and the holidays.
