PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) - A levy on the November ballot could helpPerrysburg Schools get a new building, and eliminate the use of portableclassrooms.

Now there's a levy group to help with voteroutreach.

Due to a current lack of space, some of theschools in the district have to use portable classrooms to accommodatestudents. A new building would solve the problem, but the project would costnearly $40 million.

A levy group committee was appointed at Monday'sboard meeting, and will be responsible for reaching out to voters through lawnsigns, flyers, and other informational tools to educate voters about the need forthis levy to pass.

"It means a great deal to a campaign tohave community members step up, because you know this really is a communityissue - it's not a school issue, it's really much larger than that," saidSuperintendent Tom Hosler.

There's an existing levy that is ending thisyear, so the superintendent says passing this new levy wouldn't be asignificant increase to taxpayers.
