BBB to host free shed, electronics recycling event Saturday

On Saturday the BBB will conduct its annual Shred Day at the Sears Westgate store. Papers can be shredded and computers recycled so their private information is destroyed.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Stealing an identity is easy. Just go through old papers, get basic information about a consumer, including the Social Security Number, and go.

On Saturday the BBB will conduct its annual Shred Day at the Sears Westgate store. Papers can be shredded and computers recycled so their private information is destroyed.

Bring your old papers from the basement, attic or garage. Shred 3 bags free. Additional bags cost $3 each.

The BBB will unload your car. AccuShred and Allshred will grind your documents up right on the spot.

Old computers, printers, keyboards and wires recycled free. Hard drives will be destroyed. Small appliances; vacuums, cell phones, stereo components, coffee makers all recycled free.

Monitors are $5. TV sets $20 or $25 because they contain lead.

The shred event will be held Saturday, May 3 at Sears Westgate in Toledo, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sears Westgate is located at 3408 West Central Avenue.
