OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) - Wheeling Street has closed in Oregon, as crews begin repairs on the Otter Creek Bridge.
City officials say work to replace the existing bridge is being completed as part of the Otter Creek drainage project. Construction will make the bridge bigger, plus fix the angle.
As a result, Wheeling Street will close to through traffic from Starr Avenue to Seaman Road. Properties south of the Otter Creek Bridge are accessible from Starr. Properties north of the bridge are accessible from Seaman.
The project is expected to cost $650,000, which is 80 percent funded by a grant.
Construction is expected to be complete by late November.
