Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect Wednesday evening

Heavy snow will arrive in our area around 5 p.m. and will continue overnight, making for hazardous Thursday morning travel.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect for most counties in our area starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday night due to heavy snow starting in the evening.

The snow will continue throughout the night and make for hazardous Thursday morning travel, with school delays likely.

The counties affected by the Winter Weather Advisory are:

  • Lucas
  • Ottawa
  • Sandusky 
  • Erie
  • Hancock
  • Seneca
  • Huron
  • Defiance
  • Fulton
  • Henry
  • Putnam
  • Paulding

Snow accumulations of 3" to 5" are expected. The greatest accumulation potential will happen Wednesday evening.

Hazardous Thursday morning travel is expected. Plan on slowing down and using caution while driving due to slippery road conditions.
